Triceps Kickbacks
Muscles worked: Triceps
Triceps Kickbacks isolate the triceps: hinged slightly forward, you extend one arm back behind you until it is straight, squeeze, and return.
Keep your upper arm still and parallel to the floor — the movement comes from the elbow only. Use a light effort and a full extension with a brief squeeze; swinging the arm or moving the shoulder means the weight is too heavy for the move.
How to do it
- Hinge slightly forward.
- Hold your upper arm still and parallel to the floor.
- Extend one arm back behind you until it is straight, then squeeze briefly.
- Return with control, moving from the elbow only.
- Use a light effort with a full extension — if your arm swings or your shoulder moves, the weight is too heavy for the move.
