Reclined Rhomboid Squeezes
Muscles worked: Shoulders, Abs & Core, Back
Reclined Rhomboid Squeezes are done lying on your back: you press your shoulders gently into the floor and squeeze your shoulder blades together, hold, and release.
Because you are lying down, gravity is out of the picture — the squeeze itself is the work. Hold each squeeze for a comfortable count, breathe normally, and release fully between reps so each squeeze starts fresh.
How to do it
- Lie on your back with your arms relaxed.
- Press your shoulders gently into the floor and squeeze your shoulder blades together.
- Hold the squeeze for a comfortable count while breathing normally.
- Release fully between reps so each squeeze starts fresh.
- The squeeze itself is the work — gravity is out of the picture, so focus on a full, deliberate squeeze.
