Push-Up & Rotation
Muscles worked: Chest, Abs & Core · Also: Shoulders, Triceps, Legs
Push-Up & Rotation combines a push-up with a side plank rotation: after each press-up, you rotate your body to one side, reaching the top arm toward the ceiling, then return and repeat on the other side.
Do the push-up first with a solid plank, then rotate from your core rather than just swinging your arm. Keep the rotation controlled and your hips stacked, and alternate sides each rep.
How to do it
- Start in a plank and do a push-up with a solid plank shape.
- After the press-up, rotate your body to one side into a side plank, reaching the top arm toward the ceiling.
- Keep the rotation controlled and your hips stacked, rotating from your core rather than just swinging your arm.
- Return to the plank and repeat, rotating to the other side.
- Alternate sides each rep.
