Heel Touch
Muscles worked: Abs & Core
Heel Touch is a simple side-core exercise done lying on your back with knees bent. You crunch up slightly and reach one hand toward the heel on the same side, alternating left and right.
Stay low — this is a small crunch, not a sit-up — and reach with your shoulder, not just your hand. Move side to side at a steady rhythm, and keep your neck relaxed by looking at the ceiling rather than at your feet.
How to do it
- Lie on your back with your knees bent.
- Crunch up slightly — stay low, since this is a small crunch, not a sit-up.
- Reach one hand toward the heel on the same side, reaching with your shoulder, not just your hand.
- Return and reach to the other side, alternating left and right at a steady rhythm.
- Keep your neck relaxed by looking at the ceiling rather than at your feet.
