Crossover Crunch
Muscles worked: Abs & Core · Also: Legs & Glutes
Crossover Crunch is a crunch with a diagonal twist: you lift one shoulder toward the opposite knee, working the side of the core as well as the front.
Lie on your back with knees bent, and aim the elbow toward the far knee without forcing the connection — the twist matters more than touching. Keep the other shoulder on the floor during each rep, and alternate sides evenly.
How to do it
- Lie on your back with your knees bent.
- Lift one shoulder toward the opposite knee, aiming the elbow toward the far knee without forcing the connection.
- Keep the other shoulder on the floor during each rep.
- Lower back down slowly and switch sides, alternating evenly.
- The twist matters more than touching — never yank your head to force the rep.
