Child's Pose
Muscles worked: Back & Core
Child's Pose is a resting stretch: from kneeling, you sit your hips back toward your heels, fold forward, and stretch your arms out in front of you on the floor.
Let your forehead rest toward the floor and breathe normally, keeping the stretch gentle. If your hips do not reach your heels, place a cushion under them or walk your hands a little closer — the stretch should feel like a rest, not a struggle.
How to do it
- Start kneeling on the floor.
- Sit your hips back toward your heels and fold forward.
- Stretch your arms out in front of you on the floor and let your forehead rest toward the floor.
