Arm Scissors
Muscles worked: Chest, Shoulders
Arm Scissors are a shoulder and chest warm-up: you hold your arms out to the sides and cross them in front of your body in a quick scissoring motion, alternating which arm is on top.
Keep the arms roughly at shoulder height and the movement quick but controlled, with relaxed shoulders. This is a warm-up and mobility move, so the range stays comfortable and the pace stays easy.
How to do it
- Stand tall with your arms out to the sides at about shoulder height.
- Cross your arms in front of your body, one over the other, in a quick scissoring motion.
- Alternate which arm is on top with each cross.
- Keep the arms roughly at shoulder height and the movement quick but controlled, with relaxed shoulders.
- Keep the range comfortable and the pace easy — this is a warm-up and mobility move.
