Arm Circles
Muscles worked: Shoulders · Also: Biceps
Arm Circles are a shoulder warm-up: arms out to the sides, you draw small circles with your hands, keeping the arms straight and the shoulders relaxed.
Start with small circles and let them grow a little as your shoulders warm up, but keep the movement in the shoulders, not the wrists. This is a warm-up, so it should feel easy and loosen the joints rather than tire them.
How to do it
- Stand tall with your arms out to the sides, straight, shoulders relaxed.
- Draw small circles with your hands, keeping the movement in the shoulders, not the wrists.
- Start with small circles and let them grow a little as your shoulders warm up.

- Reverse direction halfway through for an even warm-up.
