Side Plank Left
Muscles worked: Abs & Core
Side Plank Left is a hold on your left side that trains the side of the core and the hip stabilisers. You balance on your left forearm and foot with your body straight.
Elbow under shoulder, hips lifted, top arm resting on your hip or reaching up — whichever helps you stay steady. Breathe normally, watch that your hips do not drop, and switch to the right side for the same time.
How to do it
- Set your left forearm on the floor with your elbow under your shoulder.
- Lift your hips until your body is one straight line, balancing on your left forearm and foot.
- Rest your top arm on your hip or reach it up, whichever helps you stay steady.
- Breathe normally and watch that your hips do not drop.
- Switch to the right side for the same time.
