Side Bridges Left
Muscles worked: Abs & Core · Also: Legs, Back & Core
Side Bridges Left are a side-plank hold on your left side: you support your body on your left forearm and the side of your left foot, holding a straight line from head to feet.
Stack your elbow under your shoulder, lift your hips until your body forms a straight line, and keep your waist from sagging. If the full hold is too much, drop the lower knee to the floor for support and build up from there.
How to do it
- Lie on your left side and stack your left elbow under your shoulder, forearm on the floor.
- Lift your hips until your body forms a straight line from head to feet, supported on your left forearm and the side of your left foot.
- Keep your waist from sagging and your body stacked, not rolling forward.
- Hold only as long as you can keep the line straight, breathing normally.
- If the full hold is too much, drop the lower knee to the floor for support and build up from there.
