Leg In & Outs
Muscles worked: Abs & Core, Legs & Glutes
Leg In & Outs work the core and hip flexors from a seated position. Like the basic version, you extend your legs away from your body and pull them back in, keeping your torso steady throughout.
The challenge is keeping your upper body still while your legs move: lean back a little, brace your stomach, and avoid rocking. Extend only as far as you can while keeping your back straight and the movement smooth.
How to do it
- Sit on the floor, lean back a little, and brace your stomach, keeping your torso steady.
- Extend your legs away from your body with control.
- Pull your knees back in, keeping your upper body still throughout.
- Extend only as far as you can while keeping your back straight and the movement smooth.
- If your back rounds or you start rocking, shorten the extension.
