Knee Push-Ups
Muscles worked: Chest · Also: Triceps, Shoulders
Knee Push-Ups are push-ups done from the knees instead of the toes, which removes a good deal of body weight from the movement. They are the usual stepping stone toward full push-ups.
Keep a straight line from your head to your knees, lower your chest toward the floor with control, and press back up without letting your hips sag. When you can do a set of these with clean form, try the first few reps from your toes.
How to do it
- Start on your hands and knees with a straight line from your head to your knees.
- Lower your chest toward the floor with control.
- Press back up without letting your hips sag.
- Keep the same straight-line shape as a full push-up, just from the knees.
- When you can do a set with clean form, try the first few reps from your toes.
