Supine Push Up
Muscles worked: Back, Shoulders
Supine Push Up is done lying on your back: from a supine position you press through your arms to lift your upper body, working the back and shoulders from an unusual angle.
Keep the movement controlled and the range comfortable for your shoulders, pressing up smoothly and lowering slowly. Because the angle is unfamiliar, start with a small range and build up as the pattern feels natural.
How to do it
- Lie on your back and press through your arms to lift your upper body.
- Keep the movement controlled and the range comfortable for your shoulders.
- Lower back down slowly.
- Start with a small range and build up as the pattern feels natural.
