Side-Lying Leg Lift Left
Muscles worked: Legs · Also: Back & Core
Side-Lying Leg Lift Left works the outer left hip and thigh: lying on your left side, you lift the top leg (in this version the lower leg is the focus of the sequence) with a straight body line.
Keep your body stacked and lift from the hip, not by rolling your torso. The lift is moderate — high enough to feel the outer hip working, low enough to keep your waist stable.
How to do it
- Lie on your right side with your body stacked, legs straight and together.
- Lift your top (left) leg with control, keeping your body in a straight line.
- Lift from the hip — moderate height, high enough to feel the outer hip working, low enough to keep your waist stable.
- Lower slowly back to the starting position.
- Keep your torso still while the leg moves; match the right side's reps and range.
