Hover Push Up
Muscles worked: Chest · Also: Triceps, Shoulders
Hover Push Up is a push-up hold: you lower partway and hold the position, hovering above the floor, rather than pressing up and down for reps.
Lower to roughly halfway, hold a straight body line, and breathe normally while you hold. The hold should challenge your chest and core without your hips sagging — come down to your knees the moment the line breaks.
How to do it
- Start in a plank, then lower partway and hold, hovering above the floor.
- Lower to roughly halfway and hold a straight body line.
- Breathe normally while you hold.
- Come down to your knees the moment your hips sag or the line breaks.
