Bulgarian Split Squat Right
Muscles worked: Legs & Glutes · Also: Glutes & Hips, Calves
Bulgarian Split Squat Right puts the right leg in front with the left foot raised behind. It is the same demanding single-leg squat, mirrored.
Focus on a straight up-and-down path: hips drop vertically, chest stays tall, and the front heel drives you back up. Match the reps and depth of the left side so both legs get equal work.
How to do it
- Stand in front of a low step or bench and place the top of your back (left) foot on it behind you, right foot forward.
- Keep your torso tall and lower straight down, hips dropping vertically, until your front thigh is near parallel.
- Keep your front knee over your toes and drive up through your front heel.
- Focus on a straight up-and-down path with your chest tall.
- Match the reps and depth of the left side so both legs get equal work.
