Split Squat Right
Muscles worked: Legs & Glutes · Also: Glutes & Hips, Calves
Split Squat Right is a stationary lunge with the right foot forward and the left foot back: you lower straight down until the back knee nearly touches the floor, then rise without stepping. It is the same stationary lowering and lifting, and it deserves the same attention to knee tracking and torso position.
Set your feet wide enough to stay balanced, then drop straight down until the back knee nearly touches the floor. Match the depth and reps of the left side so both legs progress together.
How to do it
- Stand with your right foot forward and your left foot back, feet wide enough to stay balanced.
- Lower straight down until your back knee nearly touches the floor.
- Keep your torso tall and your front knee tracking over your toes.
- Rise without stepping, driving through your front heel.
- Match the depth and reps of the left side so both legs progress together.
