Split Squat Left
Muscles worked: Legs & Glutes · Also: Glutes & Hips, Calves
Split Squat Left is a stationary lunge: left foot forward, right foot back, and you lower straight down and rise without stepping. Removing the step lets you focus entirely on the lowering and lifting.
Keep most of your weight on the front heel, your torso tall, and your movement vertical — you should travel down and up, not forward and back. Lower only as far as your front knee stays steady and your back stays straight.
How to do it
- Stand with your left foot forward and your right foot back.
- Keep most of your weight on your front heel and your torso tall.
- Lower straight down and rise without stepping — travel down and up, not forward and back.
- Lower only as far as your front knee stays steady and your back stays straight.
- Match the depth and reps of the right side.
