Bent Knee Side Hip Raises Left
Muscles worked: Abs & Core · Also: Legs, Back & Core
Bent Knee Side Hip Raises Left work the left outer hip and core from a side position: with the knee bent, you raise the left leg out to the side and lower it with control.
The bent knee shortens the lever, which makes the hip work in a slightly different range than a straight-leg raise. Keep your torso still, lift only as high as your hip allows without rolling, and lower slowly.
How to do it
- Lie on your right side with your knees bent and your body stacked.
- Raise your top (left) leg out to the side with the knee bent.
- The bent knee shortens the lever, which makes the hip work in a slightly different range than a straight-leg raise.
- Keep your torso still, lift only as high as your hip allows without rolling, and lower slowly.
- Match the right side's reps and range.
