Glute Kick Back Left
Muscles worked: Legs · Also: Glutes & Hips
Glute Kick Back Left works the left glute from hands and knees or standing: you extend the left leg straight back behind you, squeeze the glute, and return with control.
Keep your back flat and your hips level as the leg extends — the leg should travel straight back, not swing out to the side or hike the hip up. A short, controlled extension with a good squeeze beats a big swinging kick.
How to do it
- Start on your hands and knees or standing, with your back flat and your core braced.
- Extend your left leg straight back behind you.
- Squeeze your glute at the end of the range.
- Return with control, keeping your back flat and your hips level.
- The leg should travel straight back, not swing out to the side or hike the hip up — a short, controlled extension with a good squeeze beats a big swinging kick.
