Arm Circles Counterclockwise
Muscles worked: Shoulders · Also: Biceps
Arm Circles Counterclockwise are the reverse-direction version: arms out to the sides, circles drawn counterclockwise at a steady pace.
The direction change matters because shoulders move in both directions in daily life, and warming up both ways keeps the joint prepared. Keep the circles small, smooth and relaxed.
How to do it
- Stand tall with your arms out to the sides at shoulder height.
- Draw small circles counterclockwise at a steady pace.
- Keep the circles small, smooth and relaxed, with the movement in the shoulders, not the wrists.
- This is a warm-up, so it should feel easy and loosen the joints.
- Reverse direction after your set so both rotational directions get covered.
